A blockage in your drainage system can be caused by a number a different things. Most commonly, blockages are the result of foreign objects being stuck in the pipes, preventing water from being able to flow freely.
The more annoying blockages are sometimes a result of tree roots growing through the pipes. Since roots are always growing, this can be a big problem if not addressed promptly.
In most cases, the solution to tree root blockages is to cut back the roots with a blast of water at high pressure. This removes the roots from the pipes, but it doesn’t permanently fix the problem.
After clearing the initial blockage, customers can either have us replace the pipe section altogether or set up a preventative maintenance schedule where we come back every six months to ensure that the roots have not begun to make their way back into the pipes.
Which route to take is totally up to you as our customer, and we always give you as much information as possible so you can make the best decision for your situation.
